I had a very busy and long day with my clients but i wanted to still post this recipe as this is great for valentines day different and special for kids, they can make their own favorite.

So, how many of you have heard this, what did u make today? ahhhh mom,,i dont wanna eat this can you make something else something different , I have heard this so many times. What does your kids love to hate the most? well no matter how many different things I make and try they do have a tendency of getting bored very soon. I am not an expert but with my kids  I am always trying new ways of introducing veggies in their meal.

When it comes to kids you always want to give them your best. I like to learn and experiment as i never know what they would like :-)

Masala Karela and Missi Roti

Hmm m, after reading so many awesome blogs. How can i be so creative and write something about bitter gourd (Karela) . It wasn’t one of my favorite dishes but soon it changed and became one of my favorite for obvious reasons. Its best even for those who do not like the bitterness of karela, that’s why i like to use dry mango powder (amchur) in this recipe to help reduce the bitterness.

Its one of those vegetables once you start eating, you will surely have the flavor for next four hours.  Gladly to say its delectable and yet simple recipe which needs very less effort and very few ingredients. It best complements with yellow daal and missi roti.  As the name suggest bitter gourd, don’t go by the name, it does have “Wow” factor to it.

Being punjabi , This is the most irresistable dish. I still remember my childhood with this. I used to smell the aroma 10 blocks away from my house and at the door my mom would welcome me with a big smile on her face already knowing that i am jumping with joy because i know that she cooked saag and makki ki roti. Traditionaly you have to enjoy it with lots of ghee or white butter. Thats how i do it too…good for your cheat days very healthy and nutritious and full of flavors in every bite that just bursts in your mouth! I hope you enjoy this as much as i do!
